Krizbii: You wait a week for an RRC, then two come along at once…

Undertaker/Michaels Promo
One of the best things about the HBK/Taker feud is that Undertaker gets to talk. The match sells itself, but every week they’re still adding something good to it. HBK needs to bring back his white entrance from last year back, that was epic. Good stuff by both of them, and the winner of the match is still a total mystery.

Kelly, Eve, Gail vs Katie, Alicia, Maryse
Katie must not look good in her pyjamas as she missed out on last week’s pillowfight. Eve is obviously getting the standard diva push of win one match, beat the champion, lose a few times, move on to the next challenger. Her armbar still looks awful.

Now there’s no more DX, Horny seems to have become part of the guest host party with the Bellas, weak magic tricks aren’t what I watch Raw for.

Miz/Show vs Morrison/Truth
Miz was great pre-match, the Bushwhackers would be better opponents than Morrison and R-Truth. The idea of them having a non-title match 3 weeks before Mania was dumb, so them barely starting before things got out of control was fine, it gives the challengers some much-needed credibility.

Using a song that used to be Ashley Massaro’s entrance theme to promote WrestleMania probably isn’t a good idea. Nice video on the Batista/Cena feud though.

Skip Sheffield looks like a failed attempt at a create-a-wrestler, a nightmare mix of Miz and Kennedy, wearing Stone Cold’s clothes and a cowboy hat. Angel’s tricks didn’t add much to the show, but didn’t waste too much time.

Orton vs Legacy
Randy is a little bit too on top in this feud, so Legacy really had to win this. I didn’t expect them to get such a long match if they’re fighting at WrestleMania, and although Orton is getting plenty of chants and cheers, Rhodes and DiBiase are pretty much greeted by silence. Anything other than a decisive win for Orton is the wrong outcome for this feud, Ted and Cody just aren’t over enough for a win to do anything for them.

HHH/Sheamus Promo
Nice of Trips to explain why Sheamus attacked him and his second good promo in two weeks, even if it was putting himself over more than anything. Standard brawl to follow, but good enough build for what isn’t really a very important match.

Not a great trick with the cups, a better trick would be if he hit the cup with the knife in, but the knife wasn’t in it any more.

Bourne vs Regal
A bit longer than last week’s qualifiers, but the match seemed to be mostly ignored in favour of Christian talking. Bourne getting in is surprising as Shelton is already in there for the crazy spots, but at least he’s more suited to a ladder match than Swagger, especially if Kofi isn’t in it.

Next week looks like it should be good, certainly more action and less talking than the last couple of weeks.

Cena vs McMahon (and Vlad, Drew, Jack, Mark and Dave)
Criss Angel was a crappy guest host, he can’t even spell Chris right. At least he was kept backstage most of the time as he was really annoying in person, although strangely the crowd seemed to lap up his over-the-top ring announcing. The gauntlet was bizarre, it wasn’t like Cena was using his superpowers to eliminate everyone, as soon as anyone tagged in Vince they just left. Sad Mark Henry was great, he’s not who you’d expect to be the voice of reason. Kofi’s run-in getting music was kind of odd, you can’t sneak attack anyone these days, although why Kofi was interfering in the first place is a mystery. Although Cena got beat on by a lot of people, he normally no-sells much more and stayed laid out for a long time. Batista was the only one who possibly came out of this mess of a match looking any better, Vince is a former WWF and ECW champion, so shouldn’t need so much help to beat Cena.

Final Thoughts
More good promos and not a lot of ring action, the main event was a mess and the Legacy match was the only other thing that got any time. Still another solid show and with Austin hosting next week, the current run of good Raws will hopefully continue.
